Walk-in tile showers in Lindale, Tyler, Van & East Texas
A walk-in shower is only as good as what is under the tile. We waterproof it, slope it so water goes where it should, and set tile you will be proud of, with the niche and bench right where you want them.
Signs it is time
A fiberglass insert that is cracked, stained or flexes underfoot
A tub nobody uses taking up the bathroom
Water stains on the ceiling below or the wall behind the shower
Missing or crumbling grout and caulk
A step-over tub that is getting hard to climb into
What we do
Demo: Old surround, tub or tile removed down to the framing.
Waterproofing: A continuous waterproof layer on the pan and walls, not just tile and hope.
Pan & slope: Floor sloped to the drain so water never sits.
Tile: Floor, walls and accents set flat and grouted.
Niches & benches: Built in, waterproofed and tiled.
Glass & fixtures: Shower valve trim, head and glass or curtain options.
Built for East Texas weather
Tile showers fail from the inside out. In a humid climate like ours, a shower without a real waterproofing layer can rot the wall behind it for years before anyone sees a stain. That is why we never cut that corner, even on a small shower.
Options
Tub-to-shower conversion: Same footprint, no more step-over.
Curbless or low curb: Roll-in or step-in access for aging in place.
Bench & niches: Seating and storage built into the wall.
Large-format or mosaic tile: Fewer grout lines or a classic look.
Questions
How long does a tile shower last?
Built with a proper waterproof layer and slope, a tile shower can outlast the rest of the bathroom. Most failures we tear out were never waterproofed right in the first place.
Can you build a curbless shower?
Often, yes. It depends on the floor framing and slab, so we look at it in person before promising it.
Will you re-tile just the shower?
Yes. We can rebuild only the shower and leave the rest of the bathroom as it is.
