Cabinet refinishing in Lindale, Tyler, Van & East Texas

Solid cabinets with a dated finish do not need replacing. We clean, sand, prime and paint or re-stain them for a whole new kitchen look at a fraction of the cost.

Signs it is time

  • Orange or dated wood tones
  • Worn finish around handles
  • Solid boxes you would rather keep
  • A piece of furniture worth saving

What we do

  • Clean & degrease: Kitchen grime off first.
  • Sand & prime: For paint that sticks.
  • Paint or stain: Smooth, durable finish.
  • Hardware: New pulls and hinges if you want.
  • Furniture: Tables, dressers and heirlooms.

Built for East Texas weather

A lot of East Texas homes have solid site-built cabinets from decades ago. They are often better built than new ones and refinish beautifully.

Painted cabinets fail when they are not degreased and sanded first. Kitchen cabinets carry years of cooking grease, and paint will not bond to it. We clean with a degreaser, scuff sand, prime with a bonding primer and then apply a durable finish, giving doors time to cure before they go back on.

Options

  • Paint: Modern and bright.
  • Re-stain: Keep the wood look.
  • Furniture: Pieces worth saving.

Questions

Will painted cabinets chip?

Not with proper cleaning, sanding and primer. Prep is what makes the finish last.

How long does cabinet painting take?

Usually several days, because doors and drawers need time to cure between coats.

Can you refinish an antique or family piece?

Yes. We take care to keep the character while bringing back the finish.
